I am delighted that the Electronic Literature Organization has recognized my essay \u201cOn Artificial and Post-Artificial Texts: Machine Learning and the Reading Expectations of Literary and Non-Literary Writing\u201d with the N. Katherine Hayles Award for Criticism of Electronic Literature this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The essay is based on my Walter H\u00f6llerer Lecture at the TU Berlin in December 2022. It appeared as a preprint in the Basel Media Culture and Cultural Techniques Working Papers<\/em> in 2023 and, fundamentally revised, in the journal Poetics Today<\/em> in 2024.
